The objective of this exercise was to make a detailed analysis of an emblematic architectural house of our choice. Therefore, including hand drawings, detailed and dimensioned floor plans, elevations, technical details and a proper understanding of the location.

 

The architect, Pierre Koenig opted for a compressed "L" shaped plan to establish a linear progression from the garage and entrance through the living space and into the garden. It is located in an area of considerable unevenness. On the north and west side, there is a hill and on the east and south side a slope is created in the terrain, so this makes an interesing context and therefore a successful resolution of the site.
